A beautiful bronze figure of Garuda. Important in both Hindu and Buddhist religions the Garuda is a large mythical bird with a wing span of many miles, the bearer of Vishnu.
Maybe with a little ' poetic license ' we are told that when the Garuda agitates it is hurricane winds Wings arise that darken the sky and jump down houses.
In Thailand and in Indonesia the Garuda is seen as national and cultural symbol.
